• August: Totes for Tykes 2014 Community Service Project

    by  • July 14, 2014 • Library Updates

Each year, the Colby Public Library sponsors a Community Service Project.  This year, along with Forward Financial Bank, we are proud to sponsor “Totes for Tykes,” a project benefiting young hospital patients and visitors.

Why donate to “Totes for Tykes”?

We are looking for donations of NEW items to entertain young patients and family members as they are in local hospital waiting rooms.  Your tote can provide much needed stress release and can make everyone’s experience more positive.

    What can be donated?

Totes are being assembled to be available to young hospital visitors and patients up to age 10.  Each tote should include 4-5 small age-appropriate items such as:

Picture Books, Board Books, Coloring Books, Crayons, Markers, Easy Puzzles, Quiet Games, Crafts, Stickers, Sticker Books, Sorting and Stacking Toys, Small Dolls, Activity Kits, Wooden Peg Puzzles, Small Lego Kits, K’Nex Kits, Travel Size Board Games, Cribbage Boards, Card Games and Cars/Trucks

All donations will be collected at the Colby Public Library and Forward Financial Bank.  Donations will be welcomed as completed totes or as individual items.
