    January:  Tax forms begin arriving

    Calling All Quilters Project-Sew a 10″ by 10″ quilt square representing a book from our assortment.  It will be packaged with the book for kids to check out.

    February:  “Movie, Music and Software Sale”

    (February 1-28:  All month in the library)

    Sandra Kring talk at LuCille Tack Center  (Sunday, February 24 at 2 p.m.  FREE PRESENTATION!)

    March:  “Friends of the CPL” Annual Meeting and Speaker/Educator (TBA)

    Friends Membership Month

    Fine Forgiveness Week (March 10-15)

    Maddie Thums Memorial Crafting Day to benefit St. Joseph’s Hospital (Info packet’s available)

    Jay Gilbertson talk at LuCille Tack Center (March 16 at 2:00 p.m. FREE PRESENTATION)

    April:  Annual Culver’s Coloring Contest

    Colby Lion’s Smelt Feed:  Library Servers Needed

    (April 23 at Colby Lion’s Shelter)

    May:  Students visit for Summer Reading Program Previews of “Fizz, Boom, Read!” (ages 3-12) and “Spark a reaction!” (ages 13-19)

    Book Club Finales and/or Excursions (TBA)

    June:  Summer Reading Program begins

    July:  Cheese Days Book Sale (July 17-19)

    Summer Finale for Children’s Reading Program (July 24)

    August:  “Totes for Tykes” Community Service Project

    (Packets available with instructions at desk)

    Friends of the CPL Pre-Labor Day Bake Sale  (August 28)

    September:  Story Times and Book Clubs resume

    October:  Got Apples? Open House and Bakeoff (TBA)

    November:  Placemat Construction for Community Thanksgiving Dinner

    December: Celebrate the Colby Public Library, 135 years old! Birthday party December 9th.


    Recurring Events:

    Hobby/Craft Nights:  3rd Friday of each month for Adults

    Story Times (ages 2 and up):  Thursdays at 10:30 a.m. (Register at the library.)

    Afternoon Book Club: Third Tuesday each month at 1:00 p.m.

    Evening Book Club: Third Wednesday each month at 7:30 p.m.
